We March Onward

A Life and Ministry Update:

In case anyone has been wondering why we have disappeared from posting, February was a long month for us here at Theological Digressions. School, work, moves, and all sorts of life events have prevented us from being consistent in posting. We will be switching our posting schedule to a minimum of once a week in order to fit in the current difficulties of our writing and posting schedules.

This week, Danny and I are at the Shepherd’s Conference. The Shepherd’s Conference is a yearly event run by Grace Community Church that serves pastors, elders, church leaders, and others who are involved in ministry. It is meant to be a time of refreshment and encouragement and, in our case, catchup. This includes book reading, fellowship, and lots of new books. The sessions are all streamed at https://www.shepherdsconference.org/ if you are interested in listening to some of these excellent sermons, messages, and sessions.

A week off from work does not necessarily mean a true week off. I’ll be finishing off my Master’s Degree this week which involves a substantial amount of writing for my final papers. Once that is done, I’ll be able to focus back on the blog again. There are a lot of cool studies and concepts that I have learned through my schooling that I hope to share with all of you soon. In all of this, the Lord continues to teach me to trust Him more and depend on His gracious sovereignty in all situations. Following a harrowing near-death experience can create a defeatist mentality towards the future. However, in His hands are my future and I will pursue His purposes as long as I have breath. The Lord is good and does good (Psalm 119:68).

May the Lord give you strength, mercy, and grace this day and week.

Grace and peace to you.
